Ms. Lara joined Texas A&M University in the fall of 2012 as the Assistant to the Executive Director-Global Program Support. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director-Partnership Services for Public Partnership & Outreach Effectiveness. Also while serving as administrative support for Public Partnership & Outreach, she tracks education abroad contracts, updates university world ranking reports, pulls data analytics from websites, assists with administrative support assessment, and serves as liaison with the signature partner Hacienda Santa Clara in Mexico for university faculty, staff, and administrators.
In addition to these roles, Ms. Lara provides administrative support for other PPO staff and Texas A&M University workgroups. As the Executive Assistant for Partnership Services, she assist with logistics for Tai Chi events and Community of Respect seminars. She maintains and assists with the following websites: Global Program Support, the Soltis Center at Costa Rica, Mexico Partnership Services, Continuing & Professional Education website editing.
Other duties for PPO include presentation preparation for in-person and virtual seminars, university publications that include the Mexico Partnership Office in Mexico City, works with the Education Abroad Office to expedite vendor contracts, conducts research, compiles, and applies information to fulfill data requests, creates reports related to student mobility, assists with student worker hiring and management.
In 2016, Ms. Lara was nominated for and awarded with the Tradition of Excellence Award provided through the generosity of The Association of Former Students to university staff in recognition of superior service in the Division of Academic Affairs.
